Attilio Sepe (born in 1999 in Nola, Italy) is an internationally emerging alto saxophonist and composer known for his distinctive tone, expressive phrasing, and a deeply personal approach to contemporary jazz. From an early age, he was immersed in music, beginning his studies at seven with Raffaele Minale and Giulio Martino. He later pursued classical saxophone at the Conservatorio Statale di Musica D. Cimarosa, while simultaneously studying jazz with Antonio Solimene and the renowned Maurizio Giammarco.

Attilio refined his artistic voice at Siena Jazz University, where he earned two degrees in Jazz Saxophone and studied with some of the most influential voices in modern jazz, including Ralph Alessi, Ziv Ravitz, Giovanni Falzone, Alfonso Santimone, Dan Kinzelman, and Ben Van Gelder. During his time in Siena, he joined Silvia Bolognesi’s Young Shouts quartet and co-founded The Parking Attendants, a collective of young Italian improvisers based in Tuscany.

In 2021, Sepe was awarded the "Premio Giovani Visionari" by the Italian National Jazz Federation, a recognition of his creative originality and artistic potential. He has since developed a unique musical language, blending tradition and innovation, often performing with his international quartet featuring Marco Marcelletti (Italy, piano), Emanuel Van Mieghem (Belgium, double bass), and Gabriel Moraes (Brazil, drums).

Attilio's recent discography includes “Héritage Normand” (2023), a collaborative project with saxophone master Maurizio Giammarco, and “Spellbound” (2025), an album of original compositions recorded with his quartet. His music has been featured in festivals and jazz clubs across Italy and Belgium, including performances at The Music Village (Brussels), Casa del Jazz (Rome), and Sghetto Club (Bologna). With a sound that bridges lyrical intuition and rhythmic exploration, Sepe continues to shape a bold and honest voice in European jazz.
